Turn your favorite T-shirt into a reusable sewing pattern, without ever taking it apart. In this class, you’ll learn professional trace-off techniques to capture the shape, fit, and construction of an existing garment. You’ll map each section of the T-shirt including the front, back, sleeves, and neckband, while learning how to true seams and add proper seam allowance. The tricky part about working with knits is understanding the stretch of your existing T-Shirt compared to the fabric you want to use to re-create it - I will explain how to measure this and get it right. This is a powerful skill for recreating pieces you already love and for understanding how garments are built from the inside out. You’ll leave with: • A complete T-shirt pattern based on your own garment • A repeatable method for copying other clothing • A deeper understanding of garment construction and fit • The confidence to recreate and customize your wardrobe
